Event Cleaning Services in Miami — Before the Doors Open, After the Last Guest Leaves
The short answer. Event cleaning is two jobs on one booking: a pre-event clean so the venue is spotless when the doors open, and a post-event reset after the last guest leaves — floors, restrooms, tables, glass, trash and the kitchen or catering area. The post-event half protects the next event: CDC reports that about 50% of all outbreaks of food-related illness are caused by norovirus and lists restaurants and catered events among its common settings (CDC). So restrooms, buffet lines and food-contact areas get an EPA-registered product from the agency's norovirus list (List G), held for its label contact time — not a quick wipe.
Purity Restore provides event cleaning services in Miami for banquet halls, ballrooms and hotel meeting space, private clubs, galleries, offices hosting a company party, and fellowship halls after a wedding or quinceañera. We clean; your planner, caterer and rental company do what they do. The crew works from a written scope agreed with the venue, so the room is returned the way the rental agreement says it should be.
What does event cleaning include?
The six parts of a venue guests actually judge — each one on the pre-event list, the post-event list, or both.
Floors, glass, doors, rails, furniture and every surface a guest will touch or photograph, done before setup begins.
Details Restrooms stocked, then resetStocked and disinfected before the doors open; fully cleaned, disinfected and restocked again after the last guest.
Details High-touch disinfectionDoor pulls, bar tops, buffet lines, rails and elevator buttons with an EPA-registered product held to its contact time.
Details Carpet, floors & dance floorsSpills, gum and tracked-in grit lifted; carpet spot-treated or extracted, hard floors scrubbed rather than just mopped.
Details Catering & venue kitchensPrep counters, floors, drains, sinks and back-of-house corridors after the caterer loads out.
Details Entrances, patios & walkwaysPressure washing of the arrival path, terrace and courtyard, scheduled ahead of the event so everything is dry.
DetailsWhy does post-event cleaning need disinfection, not just a wipe-down?
Because an event concentrates everything that spreads illness into one evening: hundreds of hands on the same door pulls and serving spoons, shared restrooms under heavy use, and food set out for hours. CDC's norovirus guidance names catered events alongside restaurants as a common outbreak setting, and its description of the virus explains why a fast spray-and-wipe is not enough:
"…norovirus can persist on surfaces for days or weeks and is resistant to many common disinfectants."
U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention — Common Settings of Norovirus OutbreaksSo the post-event scope separates the steps. Surfaces are cleaned first, because no disinfectant works through a film of sauce or spilled drink. Restrooms, door hardware, bar tops and buffet rails then get a disinfectant registered for norovirus, left wet for the full contact time printed on its label. Food-contact surfaces in the catering area are sanitized with a food-safe product. Our guide to cleaning vs. sanitizing vs. disinfecting explains why those are three different jobs.
What happens before the doors open?
We walk the venue with the planner or venue manager and agree what "ready" means in writing. Exterior work comes first: the arrival path, terrace or courtyard is pressure washed early enough to dry completely. Then the room — floors cleaned to the surface they are, glass and mirrors, door hardware, rails and the bar. Tables and chairs are wiped before linens and décor arrive, so setup crews are not dressing dusty furniture. Restrooms are disinfected and stocked last, as close to doors-open as the schedule allows. For a venue that hosts every weekend, our hotel and hospitality programme covers banquet turnovers on a recurring contract.
What happens after the last guest leaves?
The crew starts once the caterer, florist and rental company have loaded out. Every trash and recycling can is emptied and consolidated into the venue's dumpster or compactor. Spills and gum come up, hard floors are scrubbed, and carpet is spot-treated or extracted. Restrooms get a full clean, disinfection and restock. Tables, chairs, bar and buffet surfaces are wiped and disinfected, and the room is staged back to the layout the venue specifies. The kitchen gets counters, sinks, floors and drains; if the venue's hood system is due, kitchen hood cleaning is booked as its own service. If you need restrooms checked while the event is running, that is a porter shift on the same booking.
When is an event cleaning crew not worth it?
When the event is small enough that the cleanup is a couple of people's evening. Every booking carries a four-hour minimum, so a birthday dinner for thirty in a private room rarely needs us. Read the venue's rental agreement first, too: many halls include a cleaning fee and use their own crew, and paying twice helps nobody. Where we earn our keep is the large reception, the corporate event in an office that has to open on Monday, and the venue that would rather hand its post-event resets to one reliable crew.
What gets cleaned before, during and after an event?
Exterior and room detail before setup, restrooms on both sides of the event, and the heavy work after load-out. This is the framework we start from; the walkthrough and the venue's own rules set the final list.
| Area | When | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Entrances, walkways & patios | Before — ahead of setup | Pressure washed early enough to dry; entry glass and doors detailed. |
| Event floor, furniture & glass | Before — ahead of setup | Floors cleaned to the surface, tables and chairs wiped before linens go on, mirrors and glass streak-free. |
| Restrooms | Before, during (optional), after | Stocked and disinfected at open; porter checks during the event if booked; full reset afterward. |
| High-touch points | Before and after | Door hardware, bar tops, buffet rails, elevator buttons — disinfected at label contact time. |
| Trash & recycling | After — every can | Collected, bagged and consolidated into the venue’s dumpster or compactor; liners replaced. |
| Kitchen & catering areas | After load-out | Counters, sinks, floors and drains; food-contact surfaces sanitized, not just wiped. |
| Floors & carpet | After | Spills and gum removed, hard floors scrubbed, carpet spot-treated or extracted. |

What planners and venue managers ask us.
What does an event cleaning service include?
A pre-event clean so the venue is spotless when the doors open, and a post-event reset after the last guest leaves: floors, restrooms, tables and chairs, glass, high-touch points, trash and recycling, and the kitchen or catering area. Restroom checks during the event can be added as a porter shift. Every booking starts from a written scope agreed with the venue or planner.
Do you clean before the event, after it, or both?
Either or both. Many venues book only the post-event reset because they keep the room clean between events; first-time hosts in an office, gallery or private space usually need both. Booking both on one scope means one crew knows the room before and after, so nothing gets missed between them.
How much does event cleaning cost in Miami?
It is priced on labour hours. Guest count, venue size, restroom count, whether food was served, how much carpet versus hard floor, and how tight the turnaround is before the next booking all move the number. We quote in writing after seeing the venue, and every booking carries a four-hour minimum.
Can you clean overnight after a late event?
Yes. Post-event crews are scheduled around load-out, which is often late at night or early the next morning, so the room is ready for the venue’s next booking. Tell us the load-out time and the next event’s setup time and we build the schedule between them.
Do you clean venue kitchens after catered events?
Yes — counters, sinks, floors, drains and the back-of-house corridor once the caterer has loaded out, with food-contact surfaces sanitized. Deeper back-of-house work runs through our restaurant and kitchen cleaning programme, and kitchen hood cleaning is booked as its own service.
What happens to all the trash after an event?
Every can is emptied, bagged and consolidated into the venue’s dumpster or compactor, and liners are replaced. A large event can outrun a venue’s containers, so if you expect a heavy load, arrange extra capacity with your waste hauler ahead of time.
